Kristi was born and raised in Utah where she spent her childhood exploring the Wasatch Mountains. When she was a kid, she had the opportunity to spend summers in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, where her love of the Pacific Northwest began. Kristi received her B.S. from the University of Utah in Parks, Recreation and Tourism in 2009. After spending time ‘living the wanderlust dream’ of seasonal work and traveling as much as possible (over 35 countries and counting) she finally settled down in Bellingham in the spring of 2011. Kristi owned and operated a local sea kayaking outfitter (Moondance Kayak) from 2014 through 2022. She recently sold her business so she could pursue a more involved career in commercial real estate and have a flexible schedule in the summer months to spend with her growing family.
Kristi grew up watching both parents work hard in their fields. Her mom worked for the airlines, which fueled her passion for travel and adventure. Her father owned and operated his own business, eventually selling the business and retaining the real estate. This is where her passion for real estate and business began. Now, after having solid business experience under her belt as well as experience fostering her family’s commercial real estate portfolio, she’s ready to share her knowledge and expertise. The merging of entrepreneurship and real estate is the most exciting part about commercial real estate for Kristi. Helping grow businesses, boosting the local economy and connecting folks to ensure a solid base for their venture, is where her passion lies. She currently serves on the board for the Association of Squalicum Lofts Condominiums and previously served as the president of the board for Recreation Northwest. Kristi loves connecting with like-minded people and is passionate about building community. She is inspired to be working alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team at Saratoga.
